H2 Medical Technologies of the H2 Global Group has joined the electrical equipment take-back initiative. With the aim of reducing negative environmental impacts and promoting sustainable development, it has contributed by paying recycling fees to ensure the take-back of more than 2 tons of end-of-life electrical equipment in 2023. "This initiative is an important step towards a sustainable future and preserving our planet for future generations," says H2 Global Group's Director of Marketing and Sales Viktória Procházková.

H2 Medical Technologies is engaged in the research, development, manufacture and service of innovative devices in the field of molecular hydrogen. "We cooperate with research and educational organizations internationally. The goal of H2 Medical Technologies is to offer workable, simple and effective solutions in various fields where molecular hydrogen can be used. Molecular hydrogen has proven positive effects, and we are able to quickly and efficiently deliver innovative solutions in various forms to clients in a tailored manner," explains company CEO Pavel Vasek.

The company specializes in the production of molecular hydrogen generators for home and professional use, as well as special nanogenerators, hydrogen baths, massage devices or water ionizers. "But inherent to the production is the topic of waste treatment and recycling. And our company contributed 2,431 kg of electrical equipment to ELEKTROWIN in 2023 by paying recycling contributions to ensure the return of waste. The latter ensured subsequent processing using the latest technologies and in accordance with European standards," adds Vasek.

Roman Tvrzník, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ELEKTROWIN, adds that together they not only contributed to environmental protection, but also managed to return more than 90% of the materials obtained from the processed appliances back into circulation. "In addition, recovering materials from e-waste is both more environmentally friendly and significantly less energy-intensive than recovering them from primary raw materials, which is more valuable than usual nowadays."

By processing 2,431 kg of electrical equipment, H2 Medical Technologies:

  • It contributes to a reduction of 27.41 tonnes of CO2 in greenhouse gases, equivalent to the effort of 11 mature trees absorbing the same volume of CO2. This step contributes to climate protection and reduces negative environmental impacts.
  • It reduces production by 1,425.79 litres of oil, the equivalent of 54 working trips by car from Prague to Brno. This contributes to the conservation of natural resources and reduces dependence on fossil fuels.
  • It saves 14,677.32 kWh of electricity, equivalent to 14,678 car wash cycles. This reduces energy consumption and contributes to a more sustainable use of resources.

In addition, it has been given for recycling:

  • 1,409.00 kg of iron, enough to make 58 washing machines
  • 48.67 kg of copper, which could be used to mint 8,652 1 euro coins
  • 58.90 kg of aluminium, enough to make 3 927 cans

"H2 Medical Technologies is proud of its contribution to the environment and thanks all its clients and partners for their cooperation. This initiative is an important step towards a sustainable future and preserving our planet for future generations," explains Viktória Procházková, Director of Marketing and Sales at H2 Global Group. "Sustainability and environmental responsibility is a very important topic for us and we are very pleased that we have been able to achieve such success."

As part of this initiative, H2 Medical Technologies received the 2023 Certificate of Environmental Contribution from ELEKTROWIN. "This certificate is not only proof of our success in promoting sustainable development, but also a means of raising awareness of the importance of the take-back of electrical appliances, which we consider essential," concludes Procházková.
