Australian hydrogen startup, H2X, is expanding at an extraordinary rate. It was only founded in 2019. And it is now successfully developing, manufacturing and selling hydrogen generators primarily for fleets (buses, trucks, vans and taxis), but is also developing its own hydrogen cars, buses, vans and heavy industrial vehicles. For example, it is developing the Darling Van or the large comfortable Darling Taxi. In autumn 2022, H2X announced its biggest achievement yet: it is preparing the hydrogen Warrego Pick-Up with all-wheel drive for series production.
This car has a power of 260 KW, a range of up to 400 km and can handle extreme off-road conditions. "For those who drive to the extreme."
The Warego Pick-Up is designed to appeal to customers all over the world. In the Netherlands, for example, it is now undergoing final testing procedures and is on its way to European homologation and certification.
H2X CEO and founder Brendan Norman said that the completion of the first Warrego pick-up is indeed a major milestone for the company. "It is extremely satisfying that our team now have the Warrego running through the final stages of its engineering, safety and on-road verification programme and production readiness," he said.
