The industrial-oriented arm of the investment group Thein, formerly headed by Kellner's manager Tomáš Budník, bought the Benesov foundry Top Alulit. It promises to gain access to new customers and markets. Thein Industry specialises, among other things, in the development of proprietary hydrogen technologies used in rail and road transport.

With the strategic transaction, the group has expanded its portfolio to include a company with a turnover of more than CZK 400 million and approximately 180 employees. Thein Industry has thus expanded its services in aluminium casting and intelligent machining to serve its existing and new clients more efficiently.

Top Alulit s.r.o., based in Benešov u Prahy, is a professional aluminium alloy foundry that has been providing comprehensive aluminium casting production services since 2005. It uses gravity and low pressure casting for production. In addition, it is the only company in the Czech Republic that also uses the technology of direct and indirect Squeeze Casting, which is an advanced metal casting process that combines elements of conventional die casting with the advantages of high speed and pressure.

Top Alulit focuses on the production of castings for the automotive, aerospace, electrical and mechanical engineering industries, as well as food and other industries. Approximately 75% of its production is destined for export.

"The acquisition of Top Alulit allows us to increase our capacity and competence for production and processing, which, together with our solid foundation in engineering and innovative approach to product development, means that we will gain access to new customers and markets. This also increases the overall business potential of Thein Industry," said Tomas Budnik, founder of Thein Investment Group. "This brings us one step closer to our vision of being a major engineering group in Europe," he adds.

The transaction will be settled later this week. Thein Industry's portfolio includes Czech companies Ponec, Cotring, Železniční dodavatelská, Hydrogenic Technology and Lokorent Services.
