Spa Dr. Peták Sanatorium in Františkovy Lázně is the first spa facility in the Czech Republic to be internationally certified for molecular hydrogen treatment in combination with local natural healing sources. Dr. Peták Sanatorium is a functionalist building, a spa complex with complete services for balneology, accommodation, catering. The mineral spring is distributed to all baths in the hydrotherapy. Since 2001, the sanatorium has been providing spa and rehabilitation services (spa and outpatient medical services) as an accredited spa house.
Since 2017, the owner and physician and his wife have been intensively interested in the effects and use of molecular hydrogen on the body, and in this respect they have been working with H2 Global Group. He attended an international conference where he met many experts in this field from Japan, Korea, Poland, USA, Belgium, Israel, Russia and China and gained a lot of experience and knowledge directly from the founders (such as in Japan) of the functional medical field.
After obtaining an international certificate for the therapeutic use of molecular hydrogen in balneology and cosmetics, to enhance the healing natural resources, he developed a methodology for the application of molecular hydrogen in the spa industry. Already after a year, returning guests have confirmed the significant strengthening effect of the combination of classical spa treatment enhanced by molecular hydrogen. The methodology of the applied treatment is in the comprehensive use of all possible forms of application:
- drinking treatment enhanced with molecular hydrogen
- inhalation with molecular hydrogen
- use of molecular hydrogen tablets
- application of molecular hydrogen in bath treatments
- direct application to the body before treatments (massages, peat compresses, electrotherapy)
Molecular hydrogen has also been used for the treatment of conditions after eyelid surgery (cooperation with a plastic surgeon at the University Hospital Pilsen), positive experience with application in atopic eczema, tibial ulcers, psoriasis). Also as an internist, Dr. Petákobserved positive results in cardiac diseases, arrhythmia, shortness of breath, improvement of cognitive functions and neurodigestive disorders.
Currently, the sanatorium is focusing on post-covid clients, where after seven, fourteen or more days, vital lung capacity increases significantly and fatigue decreases, as well as shortness of breath and chest tightness are alleviated.
All this confirms the versatility of molecular hydrogen with its direct effect on oxidative stress, metabolic diseases, alleviation of depression in conjunction with the healing natural resources in Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad).
